Our club has proudly sponsored the Poetry Contest with Great Falls Elementary School for 33 years, scheduled for THURSDAY, APRIL 14, 2016! Each Spring the winners of the contest are honored by GFFN at a festive luncheon at the beautiful River Bend Golf & Country Club. It is a stunning setting for our signature community event. The student's teachers, parents and grandparents are invited to join our members as the 4th, 5th and 6th grade poets joyfully share their poems with us. It is a delightful afternoon all around for the beaming students, their proud families and teachers and it is a wonderful way for our club to give back to our community. Last year the local papers made us proud, with the enthusiastic write up about our event. Come meet with our club friends and get refreshed with our youthful poets.
Social time begins at 11:30 a.m., with lunch being served at noon. The event will end by 1:30 p.m. The ticket price is $22 and includes a trio of egg salad, tuna salad and chicken salad, along with rolls, iced tea, coffee, tea and peach melba. If there are any allergy concerns, please make Claire aware. Guests are welcome.
Everyone must register for this event. Please register and pay by April 10th.
There is an automatic processing fee for credit cards of $0.96. If you write a check, please make it payable to GFFN. *Note- The guest registration includes the processing fee automatically. Please disregard this charge if your guest is paying by check.
