Philanthropy

The Philanthropy Group seeks to support local charities through a variety of efforts and events. We are a fundraising group within the Women’s Club of Great Falls. Each club year the committee carefully selects and vets the charities we support, traditionally involving the needs of women and children. 

Our 2022-2023 fundraising events include:

September 2022 - December 2022
White House Ornament Sales

Look for ornament sales at select club events and Great Falls retailers.
Proceeds benefit Artemis House by Shelter House.

About The Charities We Support

Artemis House by Shelter House - Fairfax County’s only 24-hour emergency shelter servicing women and children fleeing domestic violence and human trafficking.

Friends of Riverbend Park (FORB) - Educating future generations to become responsible stewards of nature and wildlife. Efforts are focused on the support and underwriting of children’s field trips for Title 1 schools. 

Second Story - An organization focused on the support of families, teens, young adults, and pregnant/parenting women in homelessness and crisis.
